About the Role:

We're looking for a detail-oriented Seasonal Property Auditor to join our team for the winter season of December through March (our busiest time of year). 

In this part-time role, you'll inspect and audit properties across our collection to make sure they're guest-ready during peak season. Expect roughly 10–20 hours per week, with your schedule being coordinated around property turnover and on-demand inspection needs.
 

This is a great fit for someone looking for consistent seasonal work with a flexible weekly schedule, who enjoys working independently and out in the field rather than behind a desk.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct in-person inspections of vacation rental properties, checking for cleanliness, maintenance issues, damage, and overall guest-readiness.

• Complete inspection reports using our tracking system/app, being sure to document findings with photos and detailed notes.

• Flag urgent issues, such as safety concerns, major damage, and maintenance needs, to the team promptly.

• Travel between properties across the California side of the Tahoe portfolio as assigned.

​​​​What We're Looking For:

• Availability December 2026 - March 2027, 10–20 hours per week

  • Availability in November for in-person trainings

• Reliable personal vehicle and valid California driver's license

• Comfortable driving in winter mountain conditions

• Strong attention to detail and ability to spot issues others might miss

• Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision

• Good written communication for documenting inspection findings

• Availability to respond to occasional inspection requests with advance notice

• Prior experience in property management, housekeeping, hospitality, or a related field is a plus, but not required​​

Position Details:

• Status: Employee (W-2) Non-Exempt, Hourly

• Pay: $30/hour, plus mileage reimbursement and cell phone/data reimbursement

• Hours: 10–20 hours per week

• Schedule: This is a variable-schedule position, with shifts scheduled in coordination with your availability and inspection needs. Your schedule will vary from week to week and may include daytime, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.

• Location: Field-based position in the Lake Tahoe area of California

 

Benefits:

• Overtime: Paid in accordance with California law for any hours beyond daily/weekly thresholds

• Paid Sick Leave: Begins accruing from your hire date, per applicable state law. You're eligible to use accrued sick leave starting on your 90th day of employment.

• Holiday Pay: If you are scheduled to work on one of the following holidays, your hourly rate is $60/hour (2x base rate): 4th of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day.

• Short-notice Premium Pay: If you are scheduled to work with less than 24 hours’ notice, your hourly rate is $45/hour (1.5x base rate). If your shift qualifies for more than one premium pay, the higher rate applies.

• Mileage Reimbursement: When driving between properties on a day you’re scheduled on an inspection shift, your mileage will be reimbursed at the current IRS standard business mileage rate.
