This classic Tahoe home greets you with high-beamed ceilings and the charm of a 70's old school ski cabin.

Located only 10 minutes from downtown Tahoe City and 3 miles from the lake at Sunnyside Resort, this chalet-style house features an open floor plan that can accommodate your family and friends as well.

Enjoy the living room's 22-foot cathedral ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows where you won't be able to keep your eyes off the beautiful views of Twin Peaks. Step outside one of two sliding glass doors on to a sunny wrap-around deck with a BBQ and patio furniture so you can take in the views.

About the Home

The main level has a cozy kitchen, living area with fireplace and dining nook. You can watch TV, enjoy the fireplace and views, or socialize with the rest of your group. Up the stairs is a loft bedroom with a queen bed, 2 twins and TV. This is a great spot for a family or kids.  Off the living area is bathroom attached to a bedroom with a queen bed and a Master Bedroom with king-size bed, half bath off a changing area, and walk in closet. Downstairs has 3 bedrooms, full bathroom, laundry room, hot tub and sauna The sauna is a good size (2 levels) with enough room to spread out in. After enjoying the sauna, cool off in the shower room with 4 shower heads and a glass atrium that looks out into the forest. Or, skip to the hot tub with great mountain views and wildlife. 


Down the hall are two bedrooms have queen beds with sliders that exit to a deck with hot tub, one bedroom has a queen and twin. All the bedrooms have TV's and hotel style linens with extra pillows and blankets for a great nights sleep.  The cabin's location is equally as good in the wintertime and summertime. Tahoe City is the heart of the North Shore with many events and activities to enjoy. When you arrive at the house, all beds will be made and towels are hung, ready for you to relax. The furnishings are user friendly with plenty of areas for your family and friends. High ceilings with large wooden beams, triangle shaped windows, and mountain decor compliment the 'Tahoe' feeling. The location and amenities of this home makes this a great vacation home year-round.


Parking is available for up to 4 vehicles (2 driveway spots and 2 in the garage). Parking on the street is prohibited at all times. All cars, boats, and trailers must be parked in the home's designated parking spots.

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful chalet!

Wonderful bedrooms with comfortable beds.

Great rustic decor and plenty of dishes, cookware etc to make breakfasts, lunches and dinners at the chalet. And the chalet is as pictured.

The barbecue was great!

Folks enjoyed the hot tub and sauna as well. And walks in the beautiful neighborhood.

Definitely worth the price. We loved it!

Sandy was a very responsive host as well.

I highly recommend this place!

The cabin is located on the west shore about 10 min from downtown Tahoe City with shops, restaurants and night life.


In the summertime, bring your bike, fishing pole, and hiking shoes for the unlimited trails accessed from the cabin with the Ward Canyon river running parallel to it. With miles of paved and unpaved trails you can bike/walk for days exploring the sights. Or, get the group together for a tennis match on the homeowners courts located walking distance to the cabin.

Rules & Policies

House Notes & Rules

NO SMOKING. Absolutely no smoking in the home or in the outside space. Smoking in or on the property is subject to a $300 fee. No smoking on the premises.


PET RULES. Maximum 1 dog (30 pounds or less and don't shed) is allowed with advance notice of reservation. Pet fee must be paid prior to arrival.

  • Please make sure all pet excretion is picked up in the backyard and around the property.

  • Please bring a crate with you and crate you dog(s) if they will be left at home for any reason.

  • Please be courteous of neighborhood pets, as most Tahoe dogs will be off leash.

  • This is coyote country and they are really good at luring pups into their pack - so keep a close eye on your fur baby!

  • Dogs are NOT permitted on the furniture in any way (Not with your own blankets from home or even if they are hypoallergenic).

  • *Additional cleaning fee may be applied if there is excessive pet mess.


WINTER WEATHER WARNING (November-April). Outdoor furniture (including the BBQ) may not be available. During the winter months a 4WD or show chains are recommended to access this home. There may be snowy, icy and other conditions that make driving, parking, navigating the driveway and other transportation difficult at times. Guest is entirely responsible for their choices related to vehicle usage, and Guest and Co-Host strongly recommend adequate consideration thereof.

We ask that the person booking the home is the primary guest staying in the home and is at least 25 years of age.


PLACER COUNTY RULES

Placer County requires we inform you of the rules and regulations relevant to the home's Short Term Rental Permit. We thank you in advance for abiding by the rules below (which are also included in the listing's photos and posted in the home). 


MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY: There shall be no gatherings, events, wedding or other group functions on the Premises with more people than the number of persons stated on the listing. 


PARKING: Parking on the street is prohibited at all times. All cars, boats and trailers must be parked in the home's designated parking spots. 


QUIET HOURS: Quiet hours are 9pm-8am, seven days a week. Noise carries easier and further in higher elevations and over water. Per the ordinance: No sound from home shall be audible from the parcel line during this time. Noise s​hall be minimized in order that it not be an unreasonable annoyance, disturbance or nuisance to neighbors.


LIGHTS OUT: All exterior lights that are not needed for safety must be turned off between the hours of 10pm-7am, seven days a week. Per the ordinance: All exterior lights must be turned off that are not needed for safety or other outdoor use to the extent that such outdoor use is not an unreasonable nuisance to neighbors.


RED FLAG WARNINGS: Due to extreme fire danger, bonfires, charcoal BBQs and wood-burning fire pits are strictly prohibited. On Red Flag Warning Days, when fire hazards are especially dangerous, typically due to dry conditions and high winders, additional restrictions are imposed by the North Tahoe Fire Protection District and prohibited. You cannot use outdoor gas grills or gas fire pits during Red Flag Warnings. All outdoor fires are prohibited, both gas and wood. It is your responsibility (the guest) to be informed of Red Flag Warnings. You will see signs on the front of all fire district stations, hear about it on the news, see it on social media and hear about it on the radio.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made within 48 hours of booking are subject to a full refund*, as long as the booking is made greater than 14 days in advance.


Cancellations made with 30 days or more notice are subject to a full refund*.


Cancellations made with 15-29 days notice are subject to a 35% refund of the nightly rate, and full refund of cleaning fee and insurance fee (if applicable)*.


Cancellations made with fewer than 15 days notice are subject to a full refund of cleaning fee and insurance fee (if applicable)*. No refund will be issued for the nightly rate.


We strongly suggest purchasing travel insurance from a 3rd party to safeguard against unexpected cancellations. Storms, weather and/or fire conditions are not an exception to this policy and the cancellation policy will stand.
